Youth Assistance Program
The Mission
The Hamilton Heights Youth Assistance Program focuses on nurturing and empowering children from ages 3-17 years old who are facing difficult life circumstances.
Growing up can be challenging for any child, but it is far more so when there are unfortunate circumstances. For children to grow into the best version of themselves, they must feel nurtured, cared about, and cherished. The Youth Assistance Program, or YAP, aims to do just that!

All About Impact
The Youth Assistance Program focuses on impact. Its ideals are focused around the question, "How can we have the greatest positive impact on our youth?" Their primary goals are a direct reflection of this mindset:
- Empower parents and caregivers and advocate for our youth to connect them to services
- Work toward cultivating a culture committed to building social emotional health in all of our youth
- Enrich and expand our relationship with all schools that serve the youth that live in the Hamilton Heights School district
Advocating for the Future
Children are the future of our world. The best way to guarantee our world is a positive, welcoming place is by investing in our youth. These individuals are still growing, still learning who they are--all they need is support and resources. The Youth Assistance Program aims to do just that.
Advocacy is at the heart of everything they do. They have dedicated staff and board members who "represent the interests of youth and families in our communities, ensuring they have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive," according to their website.
The Youth Assistance Program collaborates with the Hamilton County Court system, local police departments, school districts, and elected leaders to secure funding and essential resources for these programs. These partnerships enable them to continue building a strong support network for young people facing difficult life circumstances or hardships, and empowers them to build successful futures.
