HHSC Food Pantries

Located at the High School through Door A, the HHSC Food Pantry is open on the 3rd Monday of each month from 4-6 PM to the public.

The HH Community Food Pantry team would never turn anyone away, but they have a special focus on the HH community. The Food Pantry is open to students and families in need throughout the month (if they become aware of any needs or requests).

HH Youth Assistance Program (YAP)

Formed in 2014, the Hamilton Heights YAP works in collaboration with the Hamilton Heights School District, Towns of Cicero, Arcadia, Atlanta, and the Hamilton County Superior Court.

The Hamilton County Youth Assistance Program (YAP) offers services for youth (ages 3-17) at no cost. Services include counseling, mentorship, camps, and much more. Food, clothing, and financial assistance are also available.

Hamilton County Community Resources

The official Hamilton County website offers several resources that can help community members in need. Their list is fairly diverse, so it's worth looking through if you have a specific need.

Resources include Help4Hamilton County, which offers assistance for a variety of circumstances--including mental health and well-being, housing, food assistance and more.

FindHelp.org is a website that allows users to search for their specific need and location to find local assistance. 

It offers resources for food pantries and/or meal programs in your area. However, it also includes resources unrelated to food, such as housing, financial assistance, healthcare, and more.

NavigateHC.org

NavigateHC.org is a relatively new resource for residents of Hamilton County, Indiana. The site allows residents to choose the kinds of services they need and includes things like legal aid, aging assistance, and foster care.

Individuals who use the site will be connected with a 'live navigator' in Hamilton County--a person willing to talk, text, or email with them to help them.

Indiana 2-1-1

The Indiana 2-1-1 website is a useful resource for Hoosiers. It offers categories that users can use to find specialized assistance, though they can also be reached by calling 2-1-1 or texting 898-211.

​According to the site, the service has no eligibility requirements or income standards, so anyone is able to find support and assistance.

Good Samaritan Network

The Good Samaritan Network is an umbrella service that coordinates events to help people in need. Though they only serve community members who live, work, or attend school in Hamilton County, Indiana, their list of resources is quite expansive. They even offer things like job fairs and assistance with purchasing pet food.
