Fever & Illness Guidelines

Students may be sent home for illness at the discretion of the school nurse. Reasons to be sent home include, but are not limited to:

  • Fever of 100 degrees or above
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Any student with a fever should be kept home until they are fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication for 24 hours. Students should also have no signs of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
