Jake Drummond's Presentation

Jake Drummond, class of 2024, presented about his experience in Reaching New Heights. He speaks about how growing up on a farm impacted his decisions and interests, and about how the hands-on experiences have enabled him to hit the ground running. Although he's young, he already has a career lined up for after graduation. Drummond's efforts and hard work have paid off immensely.

"You can't just jump into being an ag tech, especially with the new tractors and all the new technology that goes into it," Drummond notes. "They want to make sure you are capable of understanding the systems that go into the new equipment."

When asked about how his views of graduation changed, he added, "Being able to go offsite really opened the doors. I'm not sitting in a classroom learning something I won't use that has no relation. I'm able to do what I need to meet the requirements for graduation, but I'm also able to do what I love."
