Engaging all students by connecting them to their passions and purpose at Hamilton Heights and beyond.
Reaching New Heights Presentation
Dr. Arrowood, our Superintendent, presented about the current state of Reaching New Heights. He discussed how the program began with Ford NGL, and how we used their ideas to springboard into our own version--called Reaching New Heights.
"Hamilton Heights entered into this process with one goal in mind--which is always our goal--to better serve our students. We now no longer serve students alone--we do so as a community committed to creating graduates that are capable of adapting, persevering, and contributing in their local and global community. We want great kids to go off and do great things," Arrowood said. "What we want to do with this process is be purposeful abut the experiences that we engage our Hamilton Heights Elementary students in regarding click career exploration."
Arrowood has high hopes and expectations for students. "We want Hamilton Heights Middle School students to engage in purposeful conversations with our community partners on what skills and talents are needed in a career," he commented. "[And] at our high school, which we've kind of reinvented in the last couple years, we redesigned Hamilton Heights High School to include a Freshman Academy that funnels into another academy that will allow our students to truly experience what their future can look like."
Our goal is always to engage all students by connecting them to their passions and purpose in our schools and beyond.
